Day | iGeomancy

2026-10-01 (Lunar 8/21) is a definitive 闭 (Closing Day), a period of inward energy where completion and preservation prevail. This is not a day for new beginnings, but for sealing cycles, storing assets, and finalizing tasks. Avoid all major decisions involving travel, marriage, or medical procedures. For Singaporeans, this means finalizing HDB renovation contracts before 3pm, securing financial documents, and avoiding new business launches. The Earth Monkey day (戊申) reinforces stability but demands closure — not expansion. As the almanac states: 宜：安门、伐木、修造、动土。 忌：出行、嫁娶. Today’s energy turns inward; honor this rhythm for prosperity.

Today’s Day Pillar

(Earth Monkey) — The day pillar reveals a stable, grounding energy. 戊 (Earth) is the Day Master, symbolizing security and structure, while 申 (Monkey) brings adaptability. Hidden stems reveal 申’s core: 庚 Metal (main), 壬 Water (mid), and 戊 Earth (residual). This creates a harmonious Earth-Metal cycle, ideal for consolidation. As the Year Pillar (丙午) is Fire and Month Pillar (丁酉) is Fire, the Earth day (戊申) anchors the excessive fire energy. Ten God Relationships confirm this: Month 丁 (Fire) is 正印 (Direct Resource), favoring learning and mentorship, while Year 丙 (Fire) is 偏印 (Indirect Resource), supporting creative projects. Crucially, no clashes exist between branches (午, 酉, 申), ensuring smooth energy flow. This is why today is perfect for closing HDB renovation contracts or storing financial assets — Earth stabilizes Fire’s volatility.

(Closing Day) is a celestial pause, signaling the end of cycles and the sealing of opportunities. The almanac explicitly states: 宜：安门、伐木、修造、动土 (Auspicious for door installation, woodcutting, construction, and earthworks). This means HDB residents should complete renovation permits before 3pm, secure financial documents in fireproof safes, and finish tax filings. For CBD professionals, it’s the ideal day to close quarterly reports, settle vendor payments, or archive project files. (Inauspicious for travel and marriage) — avoid booking flights, signing wedding contracts, or scheduling medical check-ups. The Fire Horse Year (丙午) amplifies urgency; delaying closure risks losing momentum. In Singapore’s context, this means: Do NOT book a Johor Bahru trip for a wedding, avoid signing new lease agreements, and skip dental appointments. The Earth Monkey day (戊申) demands finality — like sealing a hawker stall’s inventory count at 6pm before midnight. As classical texts declare: 闭藏者，物之归根也。今日之闭，乃为明春之开也.

子时 (23:00–01:00) — ➜ 壬子 — 偏财 (Indirect Wealth)

Weak energy due to Void Branch (卯时 void). Focus on passive wealth activities: review investment portfolios or send payment reminders. Avoid signing contracts — energy is unstable. Ideal for HDB residents to check insurance policies (non-binding). Do not schedule meetings; this hour lacks materialization power.

(Direct Wealth)

⭐ AUSPICIOUS HOUR. Perfect for direct financial actions: collect tenant payments, settle vendor invoices, or withdraw cash. Tian Yi Gui Ren (Heavenly Noble Star) activates — seek help from supervisors for salary negotiations. Avoid new investments; this hour is for closing existing deals. HDB office workers should process payroll before 3am.

(Seven Killings) [CLASH] [VOID]

⚠ AVOID. Void Branch (寅) weakens energy. Do NOT make decisions about work conflicts or contracts. This is the Travel Horse (驿马) hour — avoid commutes or relocation plans. Hawker stall owners should not sign new supplier agreements. Energy is chaotic; prioritize rest over action.

(Direct Officer) [VOID]

⚠ AVOID. Void Branch (卯) renders this hour unreliable. Do NOT attend formal meetings or submit work reports. Avoid medical check-ups (e.g., HDB Health Screening). Ideal for quiet reflection only. HDB residents should not file renovation permits this hour.

(Indirect Resource)

Neutral hour for research or documentation. Process insurance claims or review contracts. Avoid financial decisions — energy is indirect. CBD professionals can draft project outlines. Hawker stall owners may schedule staff training.

(Rob Wealth)

⚠ CAUTION HOUR. Jie Sha (Robbery Star) activates — guard cash and valuables. Do NOT share financial details or make large payments. Tian Yi Gui Ren (Heavenly Noble Star) offers networking opportunities — schedule meetings with mentors. Avoid investing in stocks; this hour drains resources.

(Eating God)

⭐ AUSPICIOUS HOUR. Wen Chang Gui Ren (Academic Star) peaks for presentations, writing, or pitching ideas. Perfect for finalizing proposals or signing contracts. Avoid scheduling weddings — energy is for closure, not new beginnings. Hawker stall owners should review menu designs. Do NOT start new projects.

(Hurting Officer)

⚠ CAUTION HOUR. Tao Hua (Peach Blossom) elevates social energy, but Shang Guan (Hurting Officer) risks conflicts. Do NOT argue with management or clients. Ideal for social networking (e.g., hawker center meetups). Avoid medical procedures — energy may disrupt healing.

(Indirect Wealth)

Neutral hour for passive income review. Check dividend payments or investment dividends. Avoid signing new contracts — energy is indirect. HDB residents may plan next month’s budget. Do NOT make career decisions.

Avoid new commitments; this hour closes financial cycles. HDB office workers should settle accounts payable before midnight.

Shen Sha Star Spirits

Today’s active stars demand precision. Tian Yi Gui Ren (Heavenly Noble Star) in 丑/未 hours (01:00–03:00, 13:00–15:00) enables networking with influential figures — use for securing HDB renovation approvals or CBD partnerships. Wen Chang Gui Ren (Academic Star) peaks in 申时 (15:00–17:00), making it ideal for finalizing contracts or presentations. Avoid Yang Blade (羊刃) in 午时 (11:00–13:00) — it fuels impulsive decisions; do NOT sign agreements during lunch hours. Jie Sha (Robbery Star) in 巳 (09:00–11:00) warns against financial risks — guard valuables during office hours. Void Branches (寅/卯) weaken all activities; never schedule weddings or medical check-ups during these hours. In Singapore, this means: Do NOT book a dental appointment at 3:30am (寅时) — energy won’t materialize.

Feng Shui Directions for Today

Today’s Earth energy favors Centre, Northeast (45°), and Southwest (225° directions. For HDB flats, position your main desk or storage cabinet in the Southwest corner (wealth area) to seal assets. Wear yellow or ochre (Earth colors) — ideal for finance meetings or signing contracts. Place a yellow jasper crystal on your desk to strengthen Earth energy. In MRT commutes, face Southwest when boarding; this aligns with Earth’s grounding. Avoid facing North (Water) — it drains Earth’s stability. For hawker centers, store receipts in the Southwest section of your stall. This direction activates the Earth element, turning today’s closure into long-term security.

Activity Guide — Do and Avoid

✓ AUSPICIOUS TODAY:
• Sealing financial assets (e.g., secure savings in HDB vaults before 3pm)
• Completing renovation contracts (e.g., finalize HDB kitchen upgrades)
• Closing cycles (e.g., archive project files, settle vendor payments)
• Storing valuables (e.g., lock jewelry in fireproof safe at 10am)
*Why? Earth Monkey (戊申) stabilizes Fire energy (丙午/丁酉), turning closure into security. Sealing assets today prevents future loss.

• Opening businesses (e.g., new hawker stall on 2026-10-01)
• Signing wedding contracts (e.g., pre-wedding agreements)
• Scheduling medical procedures (e.g., dental surgery)
• Starting major projects (e.g., launch new app)
*Why? 闭 (Closing Day) energy rejects new beginnings. Fire Horse (丙午) Year amplifies urgency — delaying closure risks losing momentum. As the almanac states: 闭者，藏也，开者，散也. Opening now invites dispersal.
