Tong Shu 通書 Daily Almanac: 2026-09-12 — 定 Day | iGeomancy

Today, 2026-09-12 (Lunar 2026/8/2), is a 定 (Stability) day – the third of the Jianchu (建除) cycle. This is not a day for innovation but for consolidation: secure existing assets, finalize agreements, and strengthen foundations. Avoid new ventures, distant travel, or legal disputes. The Earth Ox (己丑) day element harmonizes with the month’s Fire Rooster (丁酉), creating stable energy ideal for HDB repairs, CBD contract signings, and marriage arrangements. Void hours (午时, 未时) weaken all activities – schedule critical tasks outside these windows. In Singapore, this is prime time for hawker stall lease renewals, property renovations, and partnership finalizations.

Today’s Day Pillar

(Earth Ox) – Yin Earth day. The Day Stem 己 (Yin Earth) is the core energy, supported by the hidden stems: 己 (Earth) as main, 癸 (Water) as mid, and 辛 (Metal) as residual. This creates a stable, grounded foundation – ideal for consolidation. The Year Pillar 丙午 (Fire Horse) and Month Pillar 丁酉 (Fire Rooster) generate heat, but Earth (己) moderates it, preventing disruption. However, the hidden 藏干 (hidden stems) reveal friction: Year’s 午 (Fire) clashes with Day’s 丑 (Earth) via 丑午害 (friction), requiring extra caution in partnerships. Earth’s strength means today favors stability over risk – perfect for securing HDB unit repairs or finalizing business deals. Avoid financial speculation; instead, focus on tangible assets. (Five Yellow Earth) energy amplifies Earth’s grounding effect, making today’s stability deeply resonant for Singapore’s property-focused culture.

(Stability) is a day for consolidation, not creation. The Jianchu 定 signifies the third phase of the 12-day cycle – when energy is fully settled, like a building’s foundation after construction. This is the optimal day for securing what you already possess: sign leases, complete renovations, or formalize partnerships. In Singapore, this means finalizing your HDB flat’s kitchen upgrade, securing the next quarter’s hawker stall lease, or confirming marriage arrangements. Earth Ox (己丑) thrives on structure – avoid impulsive moves. The 空亡 (Void Branches) for 午 and 未 mean all activities during those hours (11:00–13:00, 13:00–15:00) lack substance – promises made then may not materialize. Do NOT schedule court appearances (诉讼), long-distance travel (出行), or new project launches (starting entirely new projects). The month’s Fire Rooster (丁酉) intensifies the need for careful communication; avoid negotiations (交涉) as Earth’s stability may seem rigid to others. Today’s energy is for ‘locking in’ success, not chasing new opportunities.

Direct Officer hour – ideal for finalizing high-stakes deals. Singapore professionals should send closing emails to clients or secure last-minute CBD lease terms. Avoid late-night decisions involving family disputes. This is the peak time for 震天乙贵人 (Heavenly Noble Star) – seek guidance from senior colleagues or mentors. Do NOT schedule travel or financial risks.

Seven Killings energy – high pressure. Avoid all negotiations or property inspections. Guard valuables carefully (e.g., secure HDB unit jewelry). If travel is unavoidable, postpone until later. Do NOT sign contracts or discuss salary increases – this hour invites conflict.

Direct Resource hour – perfect for learning or refining plans. Use this for finalizing project proposals or studying for exams (e.g., NUS certifications). The 驿马 (Travel Horse) energy is active, but avoid actual travel. Do NOT start new business ventures – Earth energy is too grounded for change.

Indirect Resource hour – good for creative work. Ideal for writing business reports, drafting social media content, or designing HDB room layouts. Avoid financial decisions. (Academic Star) peaks at 17:00–19:00, so use this time for research, not execution.

Rob Wealth hour – guard finances. Do NOT share financial details or make unsecured payments. Avoid hawker stall payments in cash (use e-wallets instead). This is a good hour for reviewing budgets but NOT for spending. Do NOT discuss salary with colleagues.

Companion Star hour – perfect for team collaboration. Use it for group meetings at your office or HDB block committee discussions. Avoid solo decisions – lean on partners. Do NOT initiate conflict; Earth energy reinforces unity but resists discord.

Void hour – avoid all activity. The 桃花 (Peach Blossom) star is active, but energy is weak. Do NOT schedule meetings, signings, or social events. This is a good time for rest, but never make decisions.

CLASH] [VOID]

Void hour with clash – especially avoid travel or contracts. The 桃花 energy is high, but void means romance may not materialize. Do NOT book flights or sign leases. This hour is ideal for lunch breaks – avoid all work decisions.

Direct Wealth hour – prime time for financial transactions. In Singapore, this is when hawker stalls collect payments, and property deals close. Secure payments, finalize invoices, or discuss promotions. (Heavenly Noble Star) is active – approach your manager about a raise. Do NOT travel or discuss debts.

Indirect Wealth hour – good for unexpected gains. Ideal for following up on freelance work or checking investment returns. Avoid large cash withdrawals. The 文昌贵人 peaks here – use for presentations or writing. Do NOT sign contracts or make career changes.

Direct Officer hour – excellent for formal meetings. In Singapore, this is when business dinners seal deals. Schedule client dinners or board meetings. The 天乙贵人 is active – seek support from influential contacts. Do NOT discuss personal matters or arrange travel.

Seven Killings hour – high risk. Avoid all financial activity or travel. The 驿马 (Travel Horse) is active, but this hour brings delays. Do NOT plan trips or sign documents. This is a safe time for family dinners but not business.

Shen Sha Star Spirits

天乙贵人 (Heavenly Noble Star) activates at 子时 and 申时 – seek senior colleagues for advice or clients for referrals. In Singapore, use this to request a meeting with your manager during 23:00–01:00 or 15:00–17:00. (Academic Star) peaks at 17:00–19:00 – ideal for exams, proposals, or writing pitches. Avoid all social events during 桃花 (Peach Blossom) at 11:00–13:00 – it’s a void hour (午时), so romance may lead to disappointment. The 劫煞 (Robbery Star) warns against impulsive spending at 03:00–05:00 – guard valuables carefully. Most critically, avoid all activity during 午时 and 未时 (11:00–15:00) as they are 空亡 (Void Branches) – decisions made then will lack substance. For Singaporeans, this means never signing a lease at 13:00 or booking travel during void hours.

Feng Shui Directions for Today

Earth energy today favors Centre, Northeast (45°), and Southwest (225°) directions. For HDB residents: position your desk in the Southwest corner of your living room to anchor stability. Wear yellow, ochre, or warm brown – these colors activate Earth’s energy. Place a yellow crystal (citrine or yellow jasper) on your desk to attract wealth consolidation. In CBD offices, face Southwest during meetings to align with Earth’s grounding energy. Avoid North (Water) – it weakens Earth’s stability. For hawker stall owners, position your cash register facing Southwest to secure payments. Never place mirrors in Northeast – it disrupts Earth’s stability. Today’s energy is for ‘securing what you have’ – not seeking new opportunities.

Activity Guide — Do and Avoid

• Signing contracts – Earth stabilizes agreements (e.g., HDB repair contracts, hawker stall renewals). The 定 day ensures terms are locked in.
• Finalising plans – Earth’s strength makes it ideal for completing projects (e.g., finishing a property renovation plan).
• Repairs – Earth energy strengthens foundations (e.g., fixing your HDB unit’s roof). Avoid new construction – only repairs.
• Building foundations – For businesses, this means securing office leases or supplier contracts, not starting new ventures.
• Marriage – 定 day is a traditional wedding day – the Earth stability ensures a solid union. Perfect for HDB couples seeking a wedding date.

✗ AVOID TODAY:

• Lawsuits – Earth’s stability is disrupted by conflict; litigation is likely to stall. Never file court documents today.
• Travel to distant places – The 定 day resists change; travel is likely to encounter delays. Avoid flights or long commutes.
• Starting entirely new projects – Earth energy consolidates, not creates. Starting a new business or moving to a new HDB flat is ill-advised.
