Tong Shu 通書 Daily Almanac: 2026-08-22 — 成 Day | iGeomancy

Opening

Today, 2026-08-22 (Lunar 2026/7/10), is a 成 (Completion) day — one of the highest auspicious day types in Tong Shu. As a 月支的三合日 (three-combination day), it activates the Jiānchú God of Success, making it ideal for all major positive undertakings. The Earth Dragon day pillar (戊辰) stabilizes energy, while the Fire Monkey month (丙申) fuels creativity. Avoid lawsuits, demolition, or confrontational decisions. For Singaporeans, this is the prime day for signing HDB resale contracts, launching new ventures in the CBD, or relocating to a new flat. Do not schedule legal disputes or construction demolition today — success is guaranteed only when aligning with this day’s celestial flow.

Today’s Day Pillar

(Wù Chén) — Earth Dragon day. The day stem 戊 (Earth) dominates, representing stability, grounding, and practicality. The hidden stems reveal a complex energy: 戊 (Earth) as main, 乙 (Wood) as mid, and 癸 (Water) as residual. This creates a balanced yet demanding day — Earth’s firmness supports Wood (financial growth) but requires careful management of Water (emotions). The day carries SELF-PUNISHMENT energy (辰), warning against self-sabotage in decisions. The Year Pillar 丙午 (Fire Horse) and Month Pillar 丙申 (Fire Monkey) amplify creativity and social energy, but the Earth Dragon’s stability prevents chaos. For Singaporeans, this means HDB renovations (修造), business launches (开市), or property transactions (交易) will thrive when executed with patience. Avoid impulsive financial moves — Earth is strong, but Water (癸) residual energy demands emotional control.

(Completion) is the most auspicious Jianchu God today — a day of fulfillment and success. It signifies when efforts reach fruition, making it ideal for initiating major life milestones. As the month branch (申) forms a triad with 申 (Monkey), 丑 (Ox), and 巳 (Snake), it creates a powerful momentum for completing tasks. The 15 auspicious activities (宜) are all about positive creation: Marriage (结婚) aligns with Earth’s stability for lasting unions; Business openings (开市) harness Fire Monkey’s innovation; Construction (修造) and moving (搬迁) benefit from Earth’s grounding. Crucially, avoid litigation (诉讼) — the day’s energy flows toward resolution, not conflict. For Singaporeans, this means: Book wedding dates at Tiong Bahru Community Club (avoiding court dates), secure HDB lease agreements with SingPost, and schedule property viewings at 10 AM (巳时). Never file a lawsuit or demolish structures today — the Earth Dragon resists destruction. This day’s energy is like Singapore’s own resilience: built on stability, ready for growth.

(Indirect Wealth)

This hour offers indirect financial opportunities. Best for reviewing property investments or negotiating side income (e.g., hawker stall upgrades). Avoid major decisions — energy is weak for new commitments. Do not sign contracts; wait for auspicious hours.

(Direct Wealth)

⭐ AUSPICIOUS: Sign contracts (e.g., HDB resale), collect payments, or secure bank loans. The Heavenly Noble Star (天乙贵人) activates, aiding connections with influential figures. Avoid arguments with colleagues — energy is too delicate for confrontation.

(Seven Killings)

Avoid travel, negotiations, or public speaking. The Travel Horse (驿马) may cause delays in MRT commutes. Best for quiet tasks: reviewing budgets or organizing documents. Never schedule client meetings — Seven Killings energy risks misunderstandings.

(Direct Officer)

⭐ AUSPICIOUS: Meeting authorities (e.g., HDB office), career advancement, or signing official documents. The Academic Star (文昌贵人) enhances clarity. Ideal for CBD professionals to pitch ideas. Avoid financial risks — focus on structured tasks only.

(Indirect Resource)

Energy is midday-focused. Best for collaborative work (e.g., team projects at offices). Avoid solo decisions — self-punishment (辰) may trigger errors. Do not initiate new ventures; use this hour for refining existing plans.

(Direct Resource)

⭐ AUSPICIOUS: Learning (e.g., office training), mentorship, or creative work. The Academic Star peaks — perfect for writing proposals or launching products. Avoid financial transactions — Robbery Star (劫煞) warns of losses.

(Companion Star)

Energy is competitive. Best for team-building (e.g., office lunches) or partnership discussions. Avoid solo decisions — Yang Blade (羊刃) energy risks impulsiveness. Never challenge managers; wait for noon.

(Rob Wealth)

CAUTION: Avoid sharing financial details. The Heavenly Noble Star activates (01:00–03:00), but Rob Wealth energy may lead to overspending. Best for light tasks: answering emails. Never sign contracts — energy is unstable.

(Eating God)

⭐ AUSPICIOUS: Creative work (e.g., product launches), social events, or networking. Peach Blossom Star (桃花) elevates charm — ideal for pitch meetings. Avoid technical tasks — focus on presentation instead.

(Hurting Officer)

CAUTION: Avoid confrontations (e.g., with clients). The Hurting Officer energy may disrupt authority. Best for relaxation: evening walks at Gardens by the Bay. Never discuss salary — energy is volatile.

(Indirect Wealth) [CLASH] [VOID]

VOID: Do not schedule appointments or make promises. Energy is weak and unreliable. Avoid all decisions — even small ones like grocery shopping may misfire. Stay home; rest instead.

(Direct Wealth) [VOID]

VOID: Do not sign contracts or seek loans. Energy is weak — promises made here will not materialize. Best for quiet reflection, not activity. Never discuss investments after 9 PM.

Shen Sha Star Spirits

The Heavenly Noble Star (天乙贵人) activates at 丑时 (01:00–03:00) and 未时 (13:00–15:00), granting access to influential helpers — perfect for networking at Hawker Centre meetings or CBD coffee chats. The Academic Star (文昌贵人) peaks at 申时 (15:00–17:00), enhancing clarity for job interviews or business proposals. The Travel Horse (驿马) at 03:00–05:00 energizes relocation plans (e.g., moving to a new HDB unit), but avoid travel decisions outside this window. Peach Blossom (桃花) elevates social charm at 17:00–19:00 — ideal for networking events but avoid romance during void hours. Guard against Yang Blade (羊刃) at 11:00–13:00: it encourages bold moves but risks unnecessary conflict. For Singaporeans, this means: Use 01:00–03:00 to secure a referral from a senior colleague, and avoid office arguments during lunch (11 AM–1 PM).

Feng Shui Directions for Today

Today’s Earth energy favors Centre, Northeast (45°), and Southwest (225°) directions. For HDB households, activate your Southwest corner (e.g., Master bedroom or study) with yellow crystals or ochre decor to attract stability. Wear warm brown (e.g., a scarf or bag) to harmonize with Earth’s energy — perfect for CBD professionals or property transactions. Place a small yellow candle in the Centre of your home (e.g., living room) to anchor success. Avoid placing water features (e.g., fountains) in Northeast — Earth dominates Water, causing imbalance. For MRT commuters, face Southwest when boarding trains to align with Earth’s grounding energy. Never face North — it clashes with Earth’s cycle.
