Tong Shu 通書 Daily Almanac: 2026-08-10 — 成 Day | iGeomancy

Opening

2026-08-10 is a 成 (Cheng) day — the most auspicious day type in Tong Shu, marking a celestial alignment of success. The Day Pillar 丙辰 (Fire Dragon) harmonizes with the Month Pillar 丙申 (Fire Monkey), creating a powerful Yang Fire energy that elevates all positive life events. This is a day for tangible progress: sealing contracts, launching ventures, and moving into new spaces. Avoid all legal disputes, demolition, and confrontational actions. As the Jianchu guide states, 成 is a Success Day — ideal for marriage, business openings, and construction. Do not schedule important decisions between 01:00–03:00 or 23:00–01:00 (子丑 hours), as Void Branches weaken outcomes. Singapore residents may activate this energy through strategic CBD meetings, HDB moving preparations, or hawker centre negotiations before 05:00.

Today’s Day Pillar

(Fire Dragon) — Yang Fire Day. The Day Stem 丙 (Bing) represents vibrant, assertive energy, while the Day Branch 辰 (Chen) carries hidden stems 戊 Earth (main), 乙 Wood (mid), and 癸 Water (residual). This creates a complex interplay: Fire (丙) nurtures Earth (辰), but 辰 also contains self-punishment energy (辰 carries self-punishment) — a warning against self-sabotage in projects. The Month Pillar 丙申 (Fire Monkey) reinforces Fire energy, making it a day of high momentum. However, the Year Pillar 丙午 (Fire Horse) creates a Fire overload, requiring careful channeling of energy. Avoid impulsive actions; instead, leverage the Fire’s creative force for business launches and social bonding. The hidden Earth in 辰 also supports financial stability — ideal for salary negotiations or contract signings before 07:00.

(Cheng) is the ultimate Success Day — the most auspicious day type for major life milestones. It represents completion and prosperity, aligning with celestial harmony. The Jianchu guide explicitly states: 宜：结婚、开市、修造、动土、安床、破土、安葬、搬迁、交易、求财、出行、立契、竖柱、裁种、牧养. All activities requiring tangible progress are blessed today. For Singapore, this means:

✓ *Optimal for:* HDB house moves (post-07:00), CBD business openings (before 09:00), marriage ceremonies (05:00–07:00), and signing contracts at 09:00 (巳时).

✗ *Strictly avoid:* Court appearances (诉讼), demolition work, or aggressive negotiations. The day’s energy amplifies conflict resolution — not confrontation. Do not initiate legal disputes; instead, use this day to settle existing agreements. For hawker centre vendors, this is ideal for launching new menus or securing stall renewals. The Fire Dragon energy encourages boldness — but channel it into creative problem-solving, not arguments. Remember: 成 days attract success through harmony, not force.

Avoid all decisions. Void Branch energy weakens outcomes. Best for rest (not planning). Do not schedule calls, contracts, or travel. If awake, focus on quiet reflection — not action. Void hours carry unreliable energy; promises made here may not materialize.

Do not engage in business or personal negotiations. The 伤官 (Hurting Officer) energy disrupts authority. Avoid signing documents or discussing salaries. Best for restorative sleep. If awake, meditate quietly — not strategizing. Void Branches weaken all efforts; postpone major plans until after 07:00.

Ideal for travel planning or seeking unexpected gains. The 偏财 (Indirect Wealth) energy supports relocation decisions. Best for booking flights, finalizing HDB moves, or researching new business locations. Avoid high-stakes financial decisions — focus on exploration, not transactions. Do not schedule meetings; use this time for quiet research.

⭐ *Optimal hour for all financial activities.* Sign contracts, negotiate salaries, or collect payments. Business owners should open new stalls or launch products. For hawker vendors, this is perfect for finalizing supplier deals. Avoid arguments — focus on clear, direct communication. The 正财 (Direct Wealth) energy ensures transactions flow smoothly. Do not discuss debts — prioritize new income opportunities.

Proceed cautiously with leadership decisions. The 七杀 (Seven Killings) energy creates pressure — use for strategic problem-solving, not confrontation. Best for resolving workplace conflicts or finalizing construction plans. Avoid signing new agreements or initiating lawsuits. Do not schedule public presentations — focus on internal team alignment instead.

⭐ *Prime time for career advancement.* Meet with superiors, pitch projects, or apply for promotions. CBD professionals should schedule executive meetings. Avoid financial risks — the 劫煞 (Robbery Star) at 巳 warns of competitive pressure. Do not share sensitive strategy details; focus on demonstrating competence. This hour is ideal for securing approvals for HDB renovations.

Use for creative work or research. The 偏印 (Indirect Resource) energy supports innovation — perfect for writing reports, designing products, or studying. Avoid decisions requiring direct authority. Do not schedule meetings with clients — focus on solo work. The 桃花 (Peach Blossom) energy peaks later; save social events for 17:00.

⭐ *Best hour for mentorship and learning.* Seek guidance from seniors, attend workshops, or finalize educational plans. Ideal for HDB homeowners seeking renovation advice. Business owners should consult experts before construction. Avoid signing contracts — focus on gaining knowledge first. The 正印 (Direct Resource) energy ensures support from authorities.

Optimal for collaborative work or networking. The 比肩 (Companion Star) energy supports partnerships — ideal for team meetings or joint ventures. Avoid solo decisions; seek consensus. For hawker vendors, this is perfect for partnering with suppliers. Do not initiate arguments — focus on mutual benefit.

Proceed carefully with financial matters. The 劫财 (Rob Wealth) energy risks impulsive spending. Avoid credit card decisions or sharing financial details. Best for social events (Peach Blossom energy), networking, or romantic dates. Do not discuss investments — focus on relationship-building instead.

Avoid all decisions. The 食神 (Eating God) energy clashes with today’s Fire — create instability. Do not schedule dinners or family meetings. If socializing, focus on light conversation. Do not sign documents — the CLASH energy causes misunderstandings.

Avoid business discussions or personal plans. The 伤官 (Hurting Officer) energy disrupts harmony — use for quiet reflection. Best for family dinners or light reading. Do not initiate negotiations — the energy creates friction. Save important talks for tomorrow.

Do not make bold moves at 09:00–11:00 (巳时) due to 劫煞 (Robbery Star) — protect valuables and avoid impulsive spending.

Feng Shui Directions for Today

Today’s Fire element energizes the South (180°). Activate South-facing rooms in HDB flats: position desks, dining tables, or bedheads toward South to harness success energy. Wear red or orange clothing — these colours amplify Fire’s auspicious force. Place a red crystal (carnelian) on your desk to attract wealth. For hawker centre vendors, arrange stalls to face South during trading hours. Avoid West (negative for Fire) — this direction weakens today’s energy. In CBD offices, South-facing windows are ideal for meetings. For weddings, ensure the venue’s main entrance faces South — it aligns with 成’s success energy and ensures harmony in the new home.
